Available Positions

Computer Programming –
We are looking for a motivated and curious programmer to become an expert at linking our expanding array of hardware controls to Windows applications.  This person will advance the development of our MacroWorks II (MWII) software as the powerful engine at the heart of P.I. Engineering, running all of our current and future USB control devices.  The position combines the challenge of integrating new and changing products with the fulfillment of taking multiple projects through to completion.    

Requires BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and fundamental understanding of VB, .NET, and C++. 

Web Development –
P.I. Engineering develops and maintains a number of web sites for our family of companies including raildriver.com, trainmaster.com, ledebuhr.net, and vrcomposites.com.  We strive for clarity and ease of use while keeping a friendly and on occasion, mildly amusing tone.  We also use MTML for writing lessons in our TrainMaster training software, and use Flash for developing tutorials. We are looking for an HTML developer with a solid understanding of CSS fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and creative flexibility. 

Requires excellent writing and communication skills.  Familiarity with Dreamweaver and Contribute.   Skills in Flash, PHP, or JavaScript would be a plus. 

Simulation Programming –
TrainMaster Simulation Training Software uses real world scale hardware to simulate actual operating environments for training.  Windows Sim Connect offers a new communications link between control and display hardware to allow more realistic response then ever before.  We are looking for a programmer with an undying curiosity in the interaction between computers and hardware, and enthusiasm for the latest technology in PC gaming development. 

Requires BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and fundamental understanding of VB, .NET, and C++. 

Computer and Mechanical Engineering –
P.I. Engineering designs, manufactures, and sells real world scale control hardware for simulation training and computer game enthusiasts.  We are looking for a skilled problem solver with an engineering background to refine and expand our line of hardware including locomotive and heavy equipment cabs, plane cockpits, and our new full motion tipper table. 

Requires engineering degree or equivalent experience, fundamental understanding of computer programming and systems.
