How Do I Install My RailDriver?

Further Details:

Whether you are installing from the disk or installing from our website, please make sure you have your train simulation software installed before attempting to install the RailDriver.

Installing from the Disk:

    1. Insert your RailDriver installation disk into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
    2. If the CD doesn't AutoPlay, please follow the instructions below. If it does AutoPlay please continue from step three.
      1. Open My Computer and right-click on your CD-ROM drive.
      2. Select "Explore" from the popup menu and a new window will open.
      3. Double-click on RDsetup.exe to begin the installation procedure.
    3. When the RailDriver Install window opens, select "Install RailDriver for <game name>" where <game name> is the name of the simulation software installed on your computer.
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts until the installation routine has finished.
    5. Restart your computer.
    6. When your computer has successfully rebooted, plug your RailDriver into the computer and run through the calibration procedure.
    7. Once the RailDriver has been calibrated it is ready for use with your simulation software.

Installing from the Website:

    1. Open your web browser and go to the following URL: http://www.raildriver.com/support/downloads.php
    2. Right-click on the EXE file associated with the simulation software on your computer, and select Save As from the popup menu.
    3. Save the EXE file to an easy to remember location, such as your computer's desktop.
    4. When the EXE file has been fully downloaded, double-click on it to begin the installation procedure.
    5. Follow the on-screen prompts until the installation routine has finished.
    6. Restart your computer.
    7. When your computer has successfully rebooted, plug your RailDriver into the computer and run through the calibration procedure.
    8. Once the RailDriver has been calibrated it is ready for use with your simulation game.
