Rail Driver » RailDriver with Microsoft Train Simulator
Why don't my MSTS expansion routes work with the RailDriver?
Quick Answer:
The RailDriver was only intended to work with the default files included with Microsoft Train Simulator, and may not be compatible with any expansion routes or modified content.

Why it doesn't work:
Many expansion routes use non-default engine files. The creators of these routes may add to or subtract from the number of throttle or brake positions available for an engine. Because they are not using the default number of positions, the RailDriver does not know how to properly communicate with the engine.
In order for the RailDriver to be able to properly communicate with the expansion route's engine, new RailDriver compatible ENG files must be downloaded.
Where you can find RailDriver compatible ENG files:
To find RailDriver compatible ENG files users should start by searching for the ENG files on this page of our web site: http://www.raildriver.com/resources/downloads.php
If you cannot find the files you need on our site, then you should try searching the web pages and forums at the following web sites: http://www.uktrainsim.com/ and http://www.train-sim.com/
Users may also wish to contact the author of the expansion route, and ask them about any RailDriver compatible ENG files which may be available for their route.
How to convert ENG files to make them RailDriver compatible:
Experienced modders may wish to try using Mike Simpson's Route-Riter program to add RailDriver support to your expansion route's engine files.
